Republican Strategy - How to lose the Midwest for a generation

By not supporting the Detroit 3 bridge loan, Republicans have launched the party into the wilderness in the midwest. It is a no-win strategy under any scenario.

1. Auto Loan bill passes with slim majority - Pres. Bush has no option but to sign. The Democrats win this round.

2. Auto Loan bill fails - GM & Chrysler declare bankruptcy before Pres. Obama is sworn in. Dow falls to 6500. Democrats win again.

3. Auto Loan bill fails now - Auto Loan bill passes in the Obama Congress. Democrats win again.

4. If scenario 3 occurs and by 2010 elections, the Detroit 3 as well as the economy has recovered. Watch election ads excoriating Republicans for not helping American jobs. They shall be called the "party of wall-streeters", in the pocket of AIG etc. Democrats win yet again.

5. If scenario 3 occurs and Detroit 3 is still in trouble, the delay shall be blamed for the dire straits. Democrats win again.

Senate Republican Yeas for AIG bailout

The following Republican Senators voted to bail AIG out of bankruptcy to the tune of $173 billion at last count. AIG execs will need more and these Ben Arnold Senators will give it to them.
None of them have voiced support for American automotive manufacturing.
How much do the Detroit 3 want?
$25 billion! Just 15% of what was given to AIG to save approximately 2 million jobs across the land.
Who are these Benedict Arnold Republican Senators that voted for AIG but have yet to say a single word in support of 2 million citizens. I have removed Voinovich from the "AIG yea" list since he has voiced support of American Auto manufacturing.

I call this my DO NOT RE-ELECT list.
