Why the fear of an Detroit 3 Bridge Loan?

Yet another Republican has come out against the Fed lending money to the Detroit 3. Here is what Mark Sanford (S. Carolina Governor) said:
"using the financial industry money would open the floodgates to federal monies for every distressed industry across this country – and there will be many in this economic slowdown."

Where was his business acumen when it comes to the financial industry, who got us into this recession in the first place. The very same industry that was aided & abetted by Congress.
Make sure the killer is safe and secure behind bars, leave the victim without first-aid.

The manner in which the southern republicans are against the auto loan reeks of desperation. Almost all of them have foreign auto plants in their state or, they have large manufacturing suppliers. What are they afraid of?

I think it is unionization. Workers in the southern states see the benefits of unionization playing out before their eyes. The workers know that their employers are not US companies and if the home-countries ever face an uncertain future/weakness no one may come to help out. The benefits of unionization are all too apparent.

A revitalized UAW in an Obama presidency may even find enough support in the Toyota, Honda, Kia and Mercedes plants!

Who is Bob Corker?

Senator Bob Corker is being promoted by the Republican leadership as the "new face" of the free market.
He professes to be the savior of the American taxpayer. Rejecting the $14 billion Auto Bailout (Bridge Loan).
But the man can't count. He voted $700 billion for the banks. Did that come out of his personal account?

He is an old hand at wink-wink, nod-nod politics. Watch an analysis of the ad that got him elected.

This Cork is still protecting the old wine of segregation in a fancy, dressed-up bottle.

Have they no Shame!

List of Republican Senators willing to bail out AIG, Citigroup and other financial companies (no questions asked) but unwilling to save US auto manufacturers. This would be laughable if it wasn't tragic.
Willing to support AIG since they are the biggest life insurers in China & Japan.
Willing to support Citigroup since about 10% is owned by Saudi princes.
The following Republican Senators willing to work for foreigners, but giving the finger to Americans.

Yea for $700 billion, No for $14 billion! Do these folks need remedial math?
